Among the joys of being in our summer vacation is the luxury of being able to satisfy our passion for reading. Judging by the number of people we absorbed in a book by the pool, we are not alone in this.

Here are the books we read in our tanning beds this summer, we’d like to share with you. Read on to add some material to inspire his reading list. We have no doubt that will motivate you to implement some changes in your life.

The monk who sold his Ferrari by Robin S. Sharma

This is the story of a successful lawyer, well known, whose life balance leads to a nearly fatal heart attack. He quits his job and lifestyle prior to embarking on a spiritual journey that teaches him to live with greater passion, purpose and peace. Different self-developed techniques and theories are woven into the story of a very natural way. An interesting book on two levels, both the story and the messages inside. It would be enjoyed by those new to the world of self-development as well as those with more experience.

Feel the Fear and Do it Anyway by Susan Jeffers

The subtitle of this book is “How to turn your fear and indecision into confidence and action.” I can not recommend this book very recently, has been enjoyed by millions worldwide. Susan talks about ways of coping with fear or lack of confidence or whatever you call that prevents him from taking the action it wishes to take. In my opinion, should be a required text in schools and colleges. The book is full of examples, many of the author’s life, illustrating how effective is their approach. A must read.

Losing my Virginity by Richard Branson

This is Richard Branson’s own take on his life so far. Revealing his unique philosophy on trade, success and life. His views in childhood help explain how he became the man who made it. With extracts from his diaries balloon adventure and history of the Virgin empire highs and lows, it really is a pin of pages. Recommended for anyone interested in business, what’s behind an entrepreneur and those who grew up with the Virgin brand.

We hope you’re inspired to read few of these books yourself.
